A little about me
Jim Aitken is a songwriter from Ayrshire, Scotland. Jim produces Country-style songs from the heart. He also writes songs that mix Folk music, light pop, ballads, and instrumental music. Each song he writes has a mix of soulful and thought-provoking lyrics in each song he writes. People listening to the lyrics in his songs can identify with things happening in their lives. Jim Aitken has been awarded several songwriting awards in the USA and Canada. Jim has been a finalist in many songwriting competitions. He has worked with several folk singers on his songs. They are all Easy-to-listen and relaxing songs for everyone to enjoy.

About Me
I am Jim Aitken from Ayrshire, Scotland! I was originally moved by Covid Personal Losses to Write and record my very first song, “The Promise” which achieved Finalist in the UKSC and is a very personal favourite with many. Since then I have had three more Finalists in International Song Contests! My music has been selected for Women of Substance” Podcasts, Various Playlists, Canadian Radio Charts and US TV for a Mothers Day Special. I was a guest on a Texas Radio to introduce my music and Robert Warren, San Diego requested he Record my song, “Dear Jane” for his CD (Seven Corners).
Jim's Songs
Jim Aitken writes all his songs from the heart. He can touch on many emotions within his lyrics. His first song The Promise, was written from personal loss. Since then he has extended his range of skills by producing light pop, folk and ballad songs. Jim has been contacted by many artists who want to perform his songs. Artists from across the world have added Jim's songs to their albums. He has perfected the ability to write songs that resonate with listeners over a wide range of music. Whether it is a heartbreaking song or one which inspires, they all are enjoyable to listen to whatever the time or place.
